Dome-Style Kit Home

Working around New England, I often photograph traditional Colonial and Ranch-style homes. So, capturing a contemporary design is a refreshing change. This dome-style kit home, built in 2004, features an open floor plan that accentuates its unique lines and shapes. Large pentagonal windows let in ample sunlight and offer views of the surrounding mountain range. The structure is crowned by a hideout providing a 360-degree experience, perfect for reading or simply relaxing. While this home might not suit everyone's taste, it exemplifies how creative use of space can foster a welcoming atmosphere and a distinct living experience. It was definitely a joy to photograph on this beautiful summer day.
