Here, Now

As the year winds down, it's a good time for reflection. For photographers, staying inspired and creative is crucial. Slower periods allow for exploration outside the usual work. Personal photography challenges are and excellent tool for this - whether that means visiting a new location to “just” tell a story in five images or interpreting a keyword through photos. The key is to step out of your comfort zone and see things from a new perspective.

Recently, I visited the exhibition "Here, Now" by Moroccan artist Younes Rahmoun at the the Smith College Museum of Art . This experience encouraged me to be present, explore the museum carefully, and capture my impressions. Admittedly, my natural inclination towards structured images crept in, but the experience of slowing down and wandering without a clear goal gave me many moments of joy and curiosity I would have missed otherwise.
